01The nature of our estimates
Dexify uses artificial intelligence to identify collectibles, suggest condition grades, and estimate market values. These outputs are generated by analyzing photos and cross-referencing public market data sources.
While we work hard to make them accurate, AI-generated estimates are inherently approximate. They should be treated as a starting point for research, not a final answer.
02Grading limitations
Condition grades suggested by Dexify are based on visual signals detectable in your photos. They are not equivalent to grades assigned by professional services like:
- PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator)
- BGS (Beckett Grading Services)
- CGC (Certified Guaranty Company)
- SGC (Sportscard Guaranty Corporation)
Professional graders examine items in person under controlled conditions, assess centering, surface, edges, and corners with calibrated tooling, and stand behind their grades with reputational and financial backing. We do not.
Use Dexify's grade suggestions to organize and benchmark — not as a substitute for certification.
03Market values
Estimated values reflect recent market activity at the time of the scan. Collectibles markets can be volatile — prices may shift due to:
- New releases or reprints affecting demand
- Macroeconomic conditions and currency shifts
- Regional pricing differences
- Auction outliers or thin sales data
- Authentication and condition disputes
What an item "sold for" is not necessarily what it will sell for tomorrow.
04Not financial or investment advice
Dexify is a collection management tool. Nothing in the app or on this website constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any item.
Collectibles can lose value. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Make your own decisions, and consult a licensed advisor for matters of personal finance.
05Authenticity
Dexify cannot verify whether an item is authentic. AI image analysis cannot reliably detect counterfeits, especially sophisticated ones. If authenticity matters for your transaction, use a qualified authenticator.
06Third-party content
Dexify may reference brand names, character names, set names, and other identifiers belonging to third parties (e.g. Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Topps). These are used solely to help identify and organize collectibles. Dexify is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these brands.
07Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dexify and its affiliates are not liable for any losses, damages, or missed opportunities resulting from reliance on the app's outputs. You use Dexify's estimates at your own risk.
